Can I use vanilla extract for fragrance oil?

I'm making some candles, you could use vanilla extract (the kind of used in cooking) oil for fragrance? Does this not work because it is water based? I'm running out of options, the craft store is out fragrance oils, and Christmas approaches. Any idea Let me know!

Vanilla extract can not work with candle wax and can be bleached. From his shop craft is out of the oils, check Walmart or Target or whatever big box store near you, or you can go to your local health food store. It will certainly have a variety of essential oils at each meal good "health" of the store! This should work well for candles.
