Household objects such as toys for young children?
For my child development class, what can a child use the following as items for the home, and what children learn from them "scraps of fabric, rolls of discarded wood, leftover wallpaper bags or samples of old magazines, catalogs or plastic containers with plastic lids, cookie cutters if you have an idea for either of them would be very helpful thank you! =)
Depends age … My 1 year old … Reels – stack them like blocks — demolish them – roll them catalogs and magazines – We look at the "babies" and she gives kisses – She tears them – speak of object names when the paper points Sack – PEEK A BOO – She likes to put things "in" and "out" Containers plastic lid – Once again, in and out with the objects – Practice taking cover (which is too little to put back safely) to reach an object within – If you cut a hole in the top, you can become a way of classifying waste and samples Desktop / fabric scraps – Texture – Color — play hide the object or find Cookie Cutters – using plasticine — —- use in the sand used in shaving cream as a former teacher who holds an MA in education, I let you think about how each of these activities teaches children about different things or help them master the concepts
